Growth of the SWABCHA Membership Base remains a strategic focus area as it is vital to ensuring our sustainability and integral to the delivery of our mandate. It is through membership contributions that we are able to undertake sector strengthening activities and reach companies not eligible under donor funded programs with services that do not have the means to purchase them.

Membership means renewable annual financial contributions for the collective effort and achievement of our organisational objectives.

All private sector companies in Swaziland are invited to become members of the coalition.

Why Become a Member?

As an organisation we aim to contribute to the HIV/AIDS national response through effective coordination of and collaboration within the private sector, as to ensure universal access to prevention, treatment, care and support for employers and employees in the private sector. To this end we assist small and large business initiate and maintain workplace programs that tackle the full spectrum of employee health issues, keeping workers healthy, happy and productive.

As a member you are able to participate in these initiatives, both within your business through running a SWABCHA assisted Workplace Program, and at a the national level through participation in Sector Dialogues, Advocacy Initiatives, Strategic Direction Forums and Partnerships. Members as such play an active part in ensuring the health of their employees, business and the national economy.

  6. Members are invited to SWABCHA events/dialogues on international and national response developments, keeping your company abreast of the current situation while giving the opportunity to network with other stakeholders and members.
  7. Members are requested to participate in advocacy activities allowing the private sector to speak with one voice around HIV/AIDS and related issues, and to lobby more effectively on policy and legal issues.
  8. As a member driven organisation, all members can vote candidates to the board and participate in sub-committees.
